Roof replacement

Roof replacement in Oklahoma City.

When a roof is past repair, we replace the whole system, not just the shingles. You get the material options explained in plain terms, a written scope before anything starts, and a clean site the whole way through.

A roof in central Oklahoma does not fail the way a roof fails in a mild climate. It gets bruised by hail in the spring, lifted by straight-line wind through the summer, and baked between storms. By the time the shingles look tired from the ground, the underlayment and flashing underneath are usually the parts that have actually given up.

That is why we replace roofs as a system. New underlayment, new drip edge, new flashing at every wall and penetration, and ventilation corrected if the attic was never breathing properly in the first place. Shingles are the part you see. The rest is the part that decides how long the roof lasts.

Detail

Choosing a material for the weather it will actually face.

Not every OKC roof should get the same product. A rental in Del City and a two-story in Nichols Hills have different budgets, different roof pitches, and different exposure. We price the options side by side and tell you where the extra money is worth it.

Architectural shingleThe reliable standard. Good lifespan, best price per square.
Impact-rated (Class 4)Harder hail resistance, and most insurers discount the premium.
Standing-seam metalLong life with very few fasteners for wind to work on.
VentilationBalanced intake and exhaust, or the whole system cooks from below.

We are based in Oklahoma City and we work the whole metro. Every roofing contractor working for a fee in this state has to be registered with the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board, and since 1 July 2026 residential work also requires the Residential Roofing Endorsement. Ask anyone who knocks on your door for both. If you are nearby and not on this list, call us anyway, we probably cover you.

Questions

Roof Replacement, answered.

How long does a roof replacement take in Oklahoma City?

Most single-family homes in the metro are torn off and re-roofed in one day. Larger or steeper roofs, and homes with several roof planes and dormers, can run into a second day. We give you the honest estimate before we book the date, and we watch the forecast so you are not left open in a storm.

Should I get impact-rated shingles in Oklahoma?

In hail country it is usually worth pricing. Class 4 impact-rated shingles hold up better to hail, and many insurers offer a premium discount for them, which takes a bite out of the upgrade cost over time. Ask your carrier what discount they apply before you decide, and we will price both ways.

Can you replace a roof in winter?

Yes. Asphalt shingles need reasonable temperatures to seal properly, so in a cold stretch the seal strip can take longer to set, but the roof is watertight from the day it goes on. We do not install in active precipitation or on ice.

Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Oklahoma City?

Roofing permits are handled by the local jurisdiction, and requirements differ between Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman and the smaller metro cities. We pull what the job needs and include it in the scope so it is not a surprise line later.
