What SKINVIVE is actually approved for
The FDA approved SKINVIVE in May 2023 for improving the smoothness of cheek skin in adults over twenty one. That is the whole indication. It is not approved for the forehead, the neck, the chest or the hands, and it is not a treatment for volume loss. In the trial, people had two treatments about a month apart, and smoothness was measured through six months.

Is SKINVIVE the same thing as filler?

How long does it last?
The approval studies followed cheek smoothness through six months, with two treatments given about a month apart. How long any individual keeps the effect varies, and repeat treatment is usually planned rather than assumed. Your provider will suggest an interval based on what they see.
Can it be used somewhere else?
The United States approval covers the cheeks only. Some providers do treat other areas, which is an off label decision rather than an approved use. If that is suggested to you, ask what evidence supports it for that area.
Who is this treatment good for?
